My Movie Roblox Guide

How to play My Movie

Quick answer

Click Create to open the editor, build your movie slide by slide, and press Publish to share it. Watch movies and click falling Tickets for currency. Play about 15 minutes and you will collect roughly 150 Tickets.

What My Movie is

My Movie is a game about making movies, built inside Roblox. You get a real editor: you build short films out of pictures, characters, text and music, then publish them so other players can watch.

There are two halves. In the cinema you watch movies other players made. Behind the Create button is the other half — the editor, where you build your own.

New players should spend the first session learning the loop. Tickets come in while you play, and they are what unlocks the fun parts later.

The three places you will use

The cinema. Where movies play. Watching is not lazy — it is how you learn. Copy the structure of movies you liked: how fast the scenes change, where the music hits, how they open.

The editor. Opens from the Create button. It looks like a computer from an old classroom: a big video screen, a strip of clips along the bottom, and tool panels around the sides. To start, you only need three panels — Pictures, Text and Music.

The store. Where Tickets and game passes live. Do not buy anything on your first day — decide what you actually want first. The Tickets guide explains every item in the store.

Tickets, the simple version

Tickets are the game's free currency. Three ways to get them:

  • Play. About 150 Tickets every 15 minutes, in the background.
  • Click falling Tickets. They drop around the lobby now and then. Each is worth 5–35 Tickets.
  • Daily bonus. Join once a day. The reward grows if you keep the streak going.

Robux can buy Ticket bundles, but nothing in the editor is locked behind money. Free players use the same tools as everyone else.

Two mistakes to skip

Publishing everything you make. Five rushed publishes get less attention than one movie you actually finished. The in-game rules also ask you not to spam uploads.

Buying things too early. Poses, backgrounds and themes all cost Tickets, and the store is happy to sell you bundles you do not need yet. Before buying, ask: which of these does my next movie actually use?

Build your first movie now

The step-by-step version lives on its own page — Your first movie, step by step walks you from pressing Create to watching your film in the cinema.
